Mission

The mission of the GLWRI is to improve water quality. The GLWRI is a knowledge consortium that is in operation to provide research and water management consulting services to water and waste water utilities and water industry associations and business groups.

The GLWRI will support the ongoing involvement of subject matter experts in the action of water research and the effort of water management education. This effort is expected to develop solutions to water management problems while also improving the quantity and quality of water necessary to sustain life.

The focus of research at the GLWRI is about: the chemical, physical, and microbiological quality of drinking water; water purification technology; health effects associated with the consumption of drinking water; and economic and planning aspects related to the supply of safe drinking water.
